A directory built for Colne
Colne NearMe is an independent local directory created and operated by MadeReal Design. Its purpose is to make it easier to find shops, places to eat, tradespeople and useful services in Colne and the surrounding BB8 area without pretending that every old map label is a current business.
Who edits the directory
Dom Lonsdale is the named editor responsible for the directory’s research process, publication thresholds, corrections and original local guides. The work combines structured public business data with individual source review rather than publishing unexamined listings automatically.
How listings are handled
Profiles are assembled from public business information and submissions from businesses or visitors. We use consistent categories, combine exact duplicates and exclude incomplete profiles from search-engine indexing until they contain enough useful contact information. Directory inclusion is not an endorsement, guarantee or professional recommendation. Read the complete editorial and research standards.
Corrections and ownership
Additions, corrections, closure reports and ownership requests are reviewed before public information or account ownership is changed. We may ask for a business-domain email address, website update or other reasonable evidence before approving a claim. Use the listing request form to contact us.
Visible changes
The editorial update log records significant research, quality and feature changes so visitors and business owners can see how the directory is developing.
Advertising and independence
Google adverts are labelled “Advertisement”. Businesses paying for additional visibility are labelled “Featured listing”. Payment can affect placement but does not affect whether factual corrections are accepted and does not represent an editorial recommendation.
